About this experience

With origins dating back to the Romans, street food is one of Italy's oldest - and most loved - ways of eating! Long before today's fancy Michelin star restaurants, there were street vendors in cities all over the country who created many of today's most iconic Italian dishes - Neapolitan pizza, Sicilian arancini and Roman porchetta to name just a few!

More than just a delicious snack, these dishes often played an important part in local history and are as diverse as the cuisine of Italy itself. 

Join us for a fun, informative, hands-on class where we'll make some of our favourite Italian street foods together and learn more about the fascinating history of these dishes!  

MENU 

Frittelle Two types of southern style Italian fritter: zucchini and mint + potato & cod 

Bombette – Pugliese “little bombs," specialty of Martina Franca: thin slices of grilled pork fillet, stuffed with pancetta, Caciocavallo and herbs 

Arrosticini (Spiedini) – Prepared from scratch, Abruzzese grilled lamb skewers  

Mozzarella in carrozza – Naples’ answer to "grilled cheese": breaded and fried mozzarella sandwiches, with optional anchovies or salami  

Insalata mista – To refresh your palate and help you digest (so you’re ready for dessert) – a fresh salad of mixed greens from Enzo’s garden  

Brioche con sorbetto - Our favourite Sicilian breakfast! Homemade lemon or strawberry gelato on a freshly baked brioche bun

We also offer corkage, the fee is $15 per bottle.

• Exchanges (one per ticket) permitted up to 5 days prior to the event.
• Tickets to Cucinato events are transferable - you can give them to someone else if you can’t attend (but please notify Cucinato in advance!)
